mission
RCSP’s mission is to empower, coordinate, represent, and amplify the voice of civil society organizations in Rwanda.
VISION
RCSP aspires to “A vibrant and resilient civil society that champions citizen voices and promotes accountable governance for equitable and sustainable development”.
KEY STRATEGIC AREAS OF THE RCSP
01. Capacity strENGTHENING
Focuses on reinforcing RCSP’s organizational capacity through improved structures, systems, and governance. It emphasizes securing diversified funding, attracting skilled personnel, and building the capacity of member organizations and civil society at large.
02. Research and public policy advocacy
Emphasizes evidence-based advocacy through policy research to guide strategic engagements with policymakers. It seeks to boost civil society’s voice in shaping public policies that advance national development and promote citizens’ rights.
03. Coordination, representation, partnerships & regional integration
Aims to enhance collaboration among CSOs, establish a self-regulatory framework for local NGOs, and strengthen partnerships with government, donors, and other stakeholders for more impactful engagement at both national and regional levels.
