The Rwanda Civil Society Platform (RCSP) conducted a one-day Public Policy Dialogue on ‘Analysis of land expropriation and transfer process in Rwanda’. The conference was held on 30th November, 2017 at Kigali Convention Centre in Gasabo District, in Kigali City.
The main objective of the conference was to provide a face to face interaction and a space for dialogue between various actors for discussing the issues observed in the land expropriation and transfer process for them to take adequate measures.
In his opening remarks, the Chairperson of RCSP Mr.Mr Sekanyange Jean Léonard lauded participants for attending the Dialogue. He said it was a grand opportunity for them to come and listen to the research findings done on the analysis of land expropriation and transfer process in Rwanda particularly as an issue that may affect the socioeconomic development of individuals and the national development in general.

Madam USTA KAYITESI, Deputy C.EO of Rwanda Governance Board (RGB)urged Non Government organizations to sensitizecitizens about the government programmes. Madam Usta emphased that all Government programmes are done interest of its citizens.
“If a citizen is expropriated because of the public interest, it does not mean that his/her livelihood does not have value. The leadership of Rwanda is built on giving dignity and good livelihoods for every Rwandan,” she said.
